Invitation
This is a space for the get together of persons connected with the department of malayalam, Calicut University. Now the department is getting prepared to felicitate it’s 40th anniversary. The one-year long celebrations will be inaugurated by Adoor Gopalakrishnan at E M S Seminar Complex, Calicut University Campus on 7th June 2011 in the morning.
This space invites you to be part of it if you were student in the Department for M.A, M. Phil or PhD. You are also welcome if you were a member of the faculty or the non teaching sector.

സാങ്കേതിക സൌകര്യങ്ങളുടെ ചരിത്രം
1977 : മലയാള വിഭാഗത്തിന് ഒരു സ്പൂള്‍ ടേപ്പ് റിക്കോര്‍ഡര്‍ ലഭിച്ചു. കോഴിക്കോട്
ആകാശവാണിയില്‍ നിന്ന് വളളത്തോള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ കവികള്‍ ചൊല്ലിയ കവിതകള്‍ ശേഖരിക്കുകയും സൂക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
1978 : സ്റീരിയോ ടേപ്പ് റിക്കാര്‍ഡറും സ്പീക്കറും അനുബന്ധവസ്തുക്കളും വാങ്ങി. കവിതകള്‍ , നാടന്‍ പാട്ടുകള്‍ എന്നിവ
ശേഖരിക്കാനും അവയെ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളെ കേള്‍പ്പിക്കാനും ഇതു പ്രയോജനപ്പെട്ടു.
1980: എച്ച്.എം. വി. സ്റീരിയോ റിക്കാര്‍ഡ് പ്ളെയര്‍ വാങ്ങി.
സംഗീതത്തിലെ ക്ളാസിക്കുകളുടെ ഒരു ശേഖരവും ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്.
1980 : യു.ജി.സി യുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായത്തോടെ ലാംഗ്വേജ് ലാബ് മലയാളത്തില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചു.
ഉച്ചാരണവിഷയത്തില്‍ കൃത്യത വരുത്താന്‍ ഇത് സഹായിച്ചു.
1980 : ഫീല്‍ഡ് വര്‍ക്കിന് വേണ്ടി മൂന്ന് ടേപ്പ് റിക്കാര്‍ഡറുകള്‍ വാങ്ങി.
1985 : ഫോട്ടോഫോണ്‍ ഫിലിം പ്രൊജക്റ്റര്‍ വാങ്ങി. പഴയതും സാംസ്കാരിക പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളതുമായ
ഫിലിമുകള്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിച്ചു. ക്യാമ്പസിലെ മറ്റാളുകള്‍ക്ക് ഫിലിം പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കാനും ഇത് ഉപകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
1997 : സ്കൂള്‍ ഓഫ് ലാംഗ്വേജസിന്റെ പേരില്‍ മലയാളം ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ട ഭാഷാ വിഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന് കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ വാങ്ങി.
ഗവേഷണത്തിനും ഡിപ്പാര്‍ട്ടുമെന്റ് ആവശ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കുമായി ആധുനിക സജ്ജീകരണങ്ങളോടുകൂടിയ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു
. മലയാളവിഭാഗം ലൈബ്രറിക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഒരു കനപ്യൂട്ടര്‍, ടി.വി, വി. സി. ആര്‍ എന്നിവ വാങ്ങി.
